Desai plays with the mutability of right and wrong as she juxtaposes what is good or right with what is wrong or evil. For instance, Simi and Chloe have to commit a crime to exonerate themselves. In another case, Angelini believes Simi is a good girl when in reality she is trying to steal the necklace from him. Other juxtapositions are found in Chloe’s job as a white hat hacker and Jack’s job of repossessing stolen artifacts.
