Before Oded's birth, Livi struggled to process her grief, soothe her childhood trauma, and live outside of the memories from Auschwitz-Birkenau. Once Oded is born, Livi no longer cried herself to sleep. Oded's presence in Livi's life facilitated her recovery by giving her hope for a new life.
