What is the importance of music in the novel, Thread Collectors?

Music is important because it brings people together. William, Jacob, and Teddy become friends because of music, and William meets Stella as he is playing music. William uses music to find Jacob when he cannot find him in a crowd. Ultimately, Lily finds Jacob because she hears the song that he wrote for her.
