The Consiglio demand that Alessa follow the rules. Every small step she makes to adjust to her situation, they resist. Yet, it are these traditions that have caused humanity to deviate so far from what Dea wanted from them, and the Consiglio’s control over the sacred texts is the main factor in this drastic shift. As long as the leadership refuses to adapt, the people will fail to do so too.
