Initially, Kaleb is the most hostile of the group at the Cittadella, convinced that they are all going to die and constantly insulting Alessa and the others. Over time - and as Alessa develops her power - Kaleb comes to respect her more, even volunteering to be her Fonte right before Divorando. However, after Kaleb is injured by Alessa’s power in the end, he chooses to act as Dante so that the ghiotte can fight with Alessa in Kaleb’s place. After the scarabeo attack, Kaleb and Dante are shown to be close friends, despite their initial animosity.
