Did Tyler want anything, as in, did he have anything gain from the shooting?

I don't think he had anything to gain other than some kind of twisted anger gratification. Tyler tells his schoolmates that they never listened to him and did not understand what it was like to have so much loss in their lives. He blamed his decision to bring a gun to school on the loss of his mother and the knowledge he would be loosing his sister.
