Who is Margot

Margot is 35 when she interviews for a job with Quin. She ends up working for another publisher, but later runs into Quin at a party. The two strike up a friendship that lasts over twenty years. He is there for her whenever she needs someone to listen, and when she needs advice. When he touches her inappropriately, she tells him to stop, and he does. Their relationship hits a rough patch when he makes an insensitive comment about a traumatic sexual event in her childhood. She gets angry with him, but does not confront him about it. When the lawsuit comes out, she is angry with him, but she is also angry with the women who, like her, did not confront him about his bad behavior and instead set out to destroy his life behind his back.
