Who is Mr. Lockhart in the nonfiction book, This Is Going to Hurt?

Mr. Lockhart is one of Kay's colleagues. He takes an active role in mentoring Kay, offering him advice when his pen goes missing and even gives Kay a goodbye card and gift when he leaves the hospital. These small acts of kindness are extremely important, as they serve to contrast Kay's argument in regard to the lack of praise and appreciation on the hospital ward.
