Why is the booth at the library Alicia and Bobby's favorite place to talk in the novel, Things Not Seen?

The soundproof booth allows Alicia and Bobby to communicate with each other without other people in the library to really notice that Alicia is talking to herself, even though she is talking to Bobby.
