What must Carlisle do to re-establish her connection with her father in the novel, They’re Going to Love You?

Throughout Carlisle's childhood, she struggles to connect with Robert. She often spends time in his company and at his home, but finds it easier to bond with James. This is in part why Carlisle sides with James over Robert amidst the Alex drama. This is also why Robert cuts Carlisle out, refusing to talk to or see her until she acknowledges the hurt she has caused.
