What is the importance of Ellacoya Mountain Resort in the novel, They’ll Never Catch Us?

Ellacoya Mountain Resort is a world-renowned resort in Edgefield. Tamara Johnson's paternal grandparents opened the first Black-owned hotel in the area during the 1970's. When her parents got married, they took over and turned the hotel into a luxury resort. Tamara and Mila both work at the resort. After Mila goes missing, Tamara holds a fundraiser and a search-party at the resort. It is near Sweetwater Lake, where Mila's phone is found, and intersects with several running trails.
