Simile:

Theo stood like a sentinel, anticipating a mistake. And when it happened, when the soldier dropped an orange, Theo raced for it, grabbed it, and flew through the cobblestone streets and crooked pathways that stretched like slender fingers out from the square.

He was thin from hunger and frail looking, yet his hands and feet were extraordinarily large, like a bear cub's, and out of proportion to his body. His features were elongated; his head was the shape of a triangle, like Perseus radiating in the night sky.
