The author also uses a lot of color words to describe the different types of weather, scents, and sounds that appear in the novel. The light is described as being red and even the heat takes on a red description, even though it would not possibly be that color in real life. In using color to describe different types of actions and situations that color would not normally be used, it forces the reader to truly imagine the world of the novellas. It allows the readers to fully become immersed in the world and to feel different emotions in situations that those emotions may not have been normally been felt in. The use of color is also incredibly symbolic in the culture of the novel, which allows the reader to find deeper meaning in those situations where color is used to describe something that would not normally be described in that way.
