What does the narrator to do try to get shampoo samples to the Woman? Is she successful?

The narrator had a ton of shampoo samples from a job at a shampoo factory. She goes to the shopping center and passes them out hoping to get one to the Woman. However, the Woman does not the take a samples and passes her by. The narrator then leaves a bag of shampoo samples on the Woman's apartment door.
