Significance of Letters

The letters that Alex finds in Snow White's castle symbolize love and are used to make the revelation that the Evil Queen was once an entirely different person. The letters are from a young lady named Evly and a man named Mira as they talk about their love for each other. Later it is revealed that the Evil Queen is actually Evly and that she was once imprisoned by an evil enchantress. The letters were her only way of communication with Mira but are found by the enchantress who imprisons Mira in the Magic Mirror.
