How did mole meet rat ?Chapter 1

It is spring and mole has the strong urge to explore his environment outside his mole hole. He keeps traveling farther and farther away from home, across meadows and fields, until he finally reaches a wide river. Mole has never seen a river before, and is awe-struck by its depth and beauty. It is by the river that he meets rat.
