Since they were unable to take a honeymoon due to Cyrus’ work schedule, Cyrus used the money to lavishly furnish the two rooms of the house that the newlywed couple would inhabit. He purchased a new high-post mahogany bed dressed in rose silk, a rose carpet, and the lounge room held an equally beautiful remodel in expensive furniture.
