Why is Lamorak is forced to resign his titles and leave Camelot in the novel, The Wicked Day?

Lamorak is seduced and manipulated by Morgause in her attempts to cause problems for Arthur, and is caught in bed with Morgause by her sons Gaheris and Mordred. Lamorak is forced to resign his titles and leave Camelot as a result of this incident.
