What decision has Balram made at the train station in the end of "The Sixth Night"?

The novel doesn’t explicitly suggest what Balram is going to do, but the implication is that what he has noticed about himself in relation to the baby and the rupee, and also what Balram says about this being Dharam’s “lucky day,” it seems that rather than being even more selfish, he is going to go back, collect Dharam, and at least begin to give him a new life.
