What is the author's style in The White Dragon by Anne McCaffrey?

The point of view of the novel is third person. This point of view is usually omniscient and reliable, proven by the fact that the narrator not only knows the actions of the events she reports upon, she also can tell the reader the emotions each of the characters feels. This is very helpful in understanding the thoughts and the intents of the characters. There are times in the book when the reader is left to wonder about the emotions and desires of people. The author chooses specific moments to reveal attitudes and motivations as well as thoughts of some people. Jaxom is the one character that the reader never has to wonder about his thoughts and his emotions, along with Ruth since Jaxom and Ruth are connected by telepathy.
