In the book, The Westing Game, what is James Hoo's possible motive for murdering Sam Westing?

Hoo's might possibly want to kill Sam Westing after he steals his idea for the invention of the Disposable Paper Diaper. We know that he is in the midst of suing him.... might he have taken it further?
