Thesis

Your thesis statement should conclude the first paragraph of your paper. From this statement, your readers should come to understand exactly what the body of your essay is going to include. Have you chosen any specific topics from the novel? Is there a theme you wish to analyze, possibly one that has touched your own life? Is there a character you relate to more than others?

Women are a main focus in The Way of the World. The relationships they have with other women, the value of a good reputation, friendship, and marriages. The focal point of your paper will decide your thesis statement.
