How does the group act differently when Percival arrives in Section 4?

This part of Section 4 is most notable because Woolf has the characters revert to constantly interchanging monologues, much like they did when they were first introduced in Section 1. This return to a more child-like state indicates the joy and innocence that Percival returns to them by his mere presence. Woolf is careful to create these monologues in such a way so that the line between monologue and dialogue is blurred. Or she has created one unique monologue that consists of the thoughts of each individual character which, in the presence of Percival, combine into one entity.
