Ray travels to Moscow to compete in the Tchaikovsky Competition. As soon as he sets foot in Russia, Ray feels that he has already succeeded, being one of few Americans, and even fewer Black Americans, to have made it this far in his musical career. The experience not only moves Ray, but it alters his outlook on the purpose and power of music as well.
