Briefly describe Einstein's involvement in the events of WWII.

Einsten was encouraged to convince President Roosevelt that the United States should begin nuclear research. Out of this research came Fat Man and Little Boy, two A-bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Einstein rejected the products of the Manhattan Project and was horrified by these atomic catastrophes.
