Who warns Ethan to stay away from Olive in the novel, The Unhoneymooners?

Dane, Ethan's brother, warns him to stay away from Olive because she is always angry and would be more trouble than its worth. Over the course of the novel we learn that Dane told Ethan this as a way to keep the two separate, so that no one would be aware of his ongoing cheating.
