The Undoing Project
How is basketball player, Jeremy Lin, used as an example of systematic bias in the nonfiction book, The Undoing Project?
.
.
Jeremy Lin is a basketball player who was initially overlooked by many NBA teams: Lewis argues that this is because he is Asian and the people making the decisions about which players to recruit were suffering from an unconscious bias against him because of his race. This is explored at length in Chapter 1. Lewis then uses Lin as an example throughout the book of how Amos and Danny’s work on systematic bias can be applied in real world scenarios.
