The Translator
What is an example of repetition in the novel, The Translator?
.
.
In Chapter Eighteen, Sammar becomes depressed and numb when she does not receive a response from Rae. Sammar's altered state of mind manifests in the language. The narration splinters and fragments, thus illustrating Sammar's detached condition. Throughout the chapter, the narrator repeats the lines, "Here. Her life was here" (158).
