Darisa the Bear is a legendary hunter and taxidermist who, on his regular but infrequent visits to Galina, was drawn into the hunt for the tiger. Darisa's death, during a fight with the animal, gave rise to the legend that he was, in fact, a magical bear, who could transform into human form.
