How does Kaoru find that Niou is having a secret relationship with Ukifune?

Both messengers of Kaoru and Niou have been taking letters back and forth to Ukifune. One day the messengers happen to cross paths while delivering their messages. This is how Kaoru comes to find that Niou and Ukifune are having a relationship.
