Geraldo Rivera had spent a night on death row. He brought in cameras and pretended to be one of the prisoners. He wore whites and slept overnight in a cell. Hinton saw it all as a joke. It was simply a game where Rivera was able to leave the next day. River did not know and would never know what it was like to be locked in a cage when you were not guilty.
