What was life like when Hinton grew up in Praco?

Hinton and his family lived in Praco when he was growing up. They lived in a company house that had four rooms. There was no indoor plumbing or bathroom. Hinton and his siblings would sleep three or four kids in a bed in each room. Two of his sisters slept with his mother. They ate good food that his mother cooked for them. They played outside until dark, and they went to church. Their community was closed, and they were all like a giant family. Everyone watched out for everyone.
