How did Hinton react when he learned his mother died?

Hinton learned on September 22, 2002, that his mother had died from cancer. After he heard the news, he went to his bed and cried and sobbed. He felt like no one with his mother gone. He thought about killing himself. Then he heard his mother's voice telling him to keep fighting. He feel asleep. When he woke, he determined to do what his mother taught him to do.
