Importance of ghosts

Ghosts are used by the Strange Bird to symbolize a departure or death. She refers to many of the human creations as ghost as they are no longer used and are abandoned. Also, the Strange Bird plans to escape her prison by becoming a ghost and disappearing. The Strange Bird sees humanity’s past as simply a ghost as well.
