How does the author use foreshadowing in An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments with Truth?

This is a non-fiction autobiography so there is not any narrative foreshadowing. There is, however, historical foreshadowing like the unrest between Hindus and Muslims as Independence became a possibility. The unrest foreshadowed the violence during the separation of the country.
