Who is Edward Behr from The Sparrow and what is their importance?

Edward Behr is a brother with the Society of Jesus. He is a widower who is assigned to aid Emilio Sandoz and help nurse him back to health. Behr is the first to realize that despite the rumors, Sandoz did not become corrupted on Rakhat, he merely lost his way to God. Behr and Candotti are the first to form a friendship with Sandoz.
