Who is Octavia?

The next octopus, brought only a few days later and still a baby, is Octavia. She is very shy, and exceptional to the aquarium because she was brought straight from the wild. Usually, the young octopuses are raised in tanks at the aquarium, which gives them a lot of time to get used to humans. Octavia is the octopus Montgomery gets to know in the most depth, as she visits her almost every week for an extended period. She is the first octopus to lay eggs at the aquarium and lives an unexpectedly long life for a Giant Pacific.
