Who is Steve Wallach from The Soul of a New Machine and what is their importance?

Steve Wallach was a Data General employee who West appointed as architect for the EAGLE project. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and received a scholarship to Brooklyn Polytechnic. He then went to the University of Pennsylvania for a master's degree in electrical engineering. After graduations, he went to work for Honeywell. After receiving an M.B.A., he went to work for Raytheon on a computer project that was eventually discontinued by the Navy. A few years later, he was hired by Data General to work on the FHP.
