One concept that is universally accepted in the field of ecology is species-area-relationship or SAR which basically means the larger the area the more species there are. The formula is S =cAz and it holds true no matter what the territory or terrain from rain forest to island. Humans are destroying the world because they are changing the value of “A” which is area. When man builds modern buildings or highways in grassland, a great number of species are displaced.
