What happens when Maggie and Steve arrive at Joe's cottage?

When Maggie and Steve arrive at the cottage, Steve runs up and hugs his father telling him how much he missed him. Meanwhile, Maggie stays back a little and refuses to enter the cottage, instead showing Joe the things she's brought with her from home.
