What is Storian?

The Storian represents a chance at change within the fairy tale world. Many times throughout the novel it is referenced that the stories the Storian tells depends on the heart of the one who possess it. For example, with Tedros the Storian is stuck on the story of Sophie and Agatha, as Tedros hopes for a different ending. With the Dean, however, the boys are convinced that boys will continue to die in all stories to follow. The Storian is the single, most powerful item in the fairy tale world, capable of changing the vary course of nature with its words. Only with the Storian’s help is Evelyn able to bring back the Dean and create a new ending for Sophie, Agatha, and the rest of their world.
