The language of this novel is a mix of simplicity with a variety of large vocabulary words to challenge the readers understanding. The story itself is easy to understand. Agatha and Sophie make wishes that send them back to the School for Good and Evil and they eventually end up in a Trial against the boys to decide the fate of the school. Where the novel gets complex is in its’ details. The transformation of Sophie to Filip is one such example, as the audience knows it is Sophie, but Sophie herself is constantly interaction with the boys as if she truly was Filip. All of the characters rightfully call her Filip.
