Importance of Court Room

Only one scene takes place in the courtroom, but it is the pivotal scene in which Ray and Moth are told that they will lose their house. Ray provides further backstory, and the reader is informed that they have been going through this legal battle for three years and have made 10 court appearances and are at this point exhausted.
