The Road Not Taken Why is sound important in the poem The Road Not Taken? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 10:23 Last updated by anonymous on 10 Sep 22:42
The only sounds indicated in the text is the sigh at the end....which is VERY important as it suggests a type of remorse that may be felt by the narrator as time goes by. Literally, though, the sound and rhythm of the poem lend itself to the themes.
