Who is Herb Wyler from The Regulators and what is their importance?

Herb Wyler is Audrey's husband. He is the target of Tak during his first few years inside Seth. Tak drains his body of his energy, and even tries to enter his body in order to have sexual relations with Audrey. When Tak has finished his attack, Herb takes his own life.
