Describe symbolism in The Rainbow by D. H. Lawrence

In Chapter Sixteen, the rainbow that Ursula sees symbolizes her overcoming her problems. It also symbolizes the happiness she can look forward to in the future, when the past has been washed away. Ursula sees the rainbow as a new beginning, where she will be strong and independent.
