Vigo is the Genovian event planner who Mia's Grandmere flies to America to help her plan Mia's mother's wedding. Vigo also serves as the royal protocol expert. He is the one who tells Mia how any boy whom she ever dates must treat her during their relationship. It is also Vigo who tells Mia and her father that Grandmere has locked herself in her hotel suite when Helen and Mr. Gianini do not show up for the wedding.
