Who is Clarence from The Princes in the Tower and what is their importance?

George, Duke of Clarence, was Edward IV's younger brother, and the older brother of Richard III. Clarence rebelled against Edward in alliance with the Earl of Warwick. The rebellion, however, failed. Future attempts to unseat Edward IV led to Edward's order of execution. Clarence was drown in a cask of wine.
