Posner was a real estate tycoon and an early Drexel client who began buying Milken's fallen angels in the mid 1970s. He was semi-retired when he got into the acquisitions business. He grew up in Baltimore, the son of a newspaper stand owner. His first business venture, at the age of sixteen, was demanding half of his father's news stand and when the father refused, Victor opened his own across the street and within six months had hired his whole family to work for him.
