Carlotta Ricardo from The Power of Six is Hector Ricardo's ailing mother. For many years she has suffered with a terribly debilitating and painful illness. When Marina learns that she has the ability to heal, she uses it to heal Carlotta because of Hector's kindness to her (Marina). Later, Hector is so overwhelmed with gratefulness for what Marina did that he fights for her against the Mogadorians and loses his life. They bury him with honor and respect by the dam where he faced the Mogs.
